I notice that this article is from CA; be assured it's a national epidemic. For 6 years we have been battling the Washington County Wisconsin court system regarding the same issue. Four evaluations by three different therapists and still nothing. My daughter kept asking for psychological evaluations on the father and his parents and the court refused the request over and over again. It's always about poltics and NEVER about the abused. In the court system it is clearly evident that the abused is protected but never the abused UNTIL something tragic happens and then they scratch their collective heads and ask themselves; "How did this happen."
Every organization that we have approached who profess to have protecting children as their highest priority are nothing more than words. the same with our local senator, congressman, representative. Now we hope to have some direction from the National Councill on Child Abuse. My next step is the First Lady - what else have we got to lose.

CHILDREN are the priority not the court. It should be about protection not ownership!
