Use of Inappropriate Syndrome Testimony
As early as September of 1989 Dr. Gary Melton and Susan Limber in an article entitled "Psychologists' Involvement in Cases of Child Maltreatment"
[American Psychologist Vol.
44, No. 9, pp. 1225-1233] commented on the inappropriate use by therapists of syndromes that are not found in the various versions of Diagnosis and Statistical Manual. There have been a proliferation of such syndromes over the last several years. At this point using syndromes which are not appropriately researched or acknowledged by the profession is below the standard of care. Among the syndromes which are controversial and which should not be represented as accepted in the therapist community are Child Sexual Abuse Accommodation Syndrome, Parental Alienation Syndrome, [
Wiederholt v. Fischer 169 WIS 2d 524, 45 N.W. 2d 442 (1992)], False Memory Syndrome, and Malicious Mother Syndrome.

I recommend all read this document no child should be talked to or treated like this in any courtroom. Nor should an individual called a Judge elected to a public office speak to any child like this. I also wonder where mothers lawyer was in objecting to any of this but given this lawyer's position and advertisements this lawyer could not fight against discredited theory use because his law firm uses it.

Circuit Judge Lisa Gorcyca berated three juvenile siblings in her court before sending them to juvenile detention. Their crime? The children — ranging in age from 9 to 15 — were deemed in contempt of court last month by for disobeying her orders to “have a healthy relationship with your father.” They say they refused because their father is abusive.The judge blamed their mother for poisoning the children’s attitude toward their father. Neither the mother or any members of her family is allowed to have any contract with the children.
Details how allegations of alienation are frequently used by fathers to counter claims of child abuse. Often, these are cases in which a mother reported a classic symptom of abuse — the child acting in a sexually inappropriate manner, for instance, or having overly sexualized knowledge. However, these cases are not considered to be credible because the mother was considered to be alienating or because she was thought to have a mental-health issue. Attorney Gregory Jacob, a former solicitor in George W. Bush’s Department of Labor, stated, “I see parent after parent after parent punished for raising good-faith allegations in court in order to get the authorities looking at the same evidence they’ve seen.”
